We understand for most folks, reputation and budget are two preliminary concerns in choosing a company. Since you have found us, our reputation must have been part of the reason you are reading this. So in regard to price we offer a free phone consultation to help determine if we are a good fit for you. We will review your project with you, answer any questions you may have, and when possible, provide a rough quote. This quote will be based our extensive experiance in remodeling and in most cases is adequate to determine if we are a fit.
Once we have talked over the phone and you have approved the rough estimate and want to proceed, we will schedule a home visit with you. The next two steps come with a $150 professional services fee (for most kitchen or bathroom projects) for our site evaluation and the design process. We can normally schedule this visit within a week or so after your approval. During the site visit we will gain an understanding of your vision, determine a preliminary scope of work, take measurements, and start making plans. We encourage you to stay in "dream" mode during this stage to make sure you see all the possibilities before worrying about what it means to the budget. Once we have all the possiblities defined you will be in a better place to make decisions that meet your vision and budget. On projects that require discovery work involving demo, engineers and/or design work etc., fees for these items will be provided for your approval before proceeding.
Next, we will arrange for you to visit with a design consultant who will assist you in layout and style and the various options with materials such as, tile, flooring, countertops, cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures etc.. This step typically takes 1-3 weeks depending on your schedule. As we confirm the scope of work and product choices we will review and refine the project estimate based on your selections and the full scope of work.
When you are ready to move forward with the project, you will approve the project via an updated quote. At this point we will begin ordering materials, you will be invoiced for any material orders at this time. There may be a number of weeks before the project starts while waiting for material availability. Once the availability date is firm we will consult with you on a good start date along with the anticipated project duration.
We will assign a project leader who will be available to you through regular site visits, phone, email and/or text throughout the entire project. Projects lasting less than 3 weeks you may not receive another invoice until the work is complete and you are happy. On larger projects, there will be partial payments required as stages of work are completed, with a final invoice due on completion.
This is usually everyone’s favorite part of the process. After your project is complete, we will meticulously inspect our work to ensure every detail abides by our quality standards. We will meet with you to answer questions and make sure you’re completely satisfied with your home. After we’ve covered everything you need to know, we’ll pack up and be on our way.
